Words for the Soul….

One of my first yoga teachers, Alanna Kaivalya, once gave a small and intimate workshop where she said something that sticks with me to this day. She said that we didn’t have to have a teacher in order to learn about yoga; people had written down the wisdom of the saints and sages in books and all we had to do was read them and practice.

While my opinion about having a teacher has since changed, I appreciate her point: that books are an amazing resource to help further our studies, and we are blessed enough to have them at our fingertips.
